Betonite panels

Bentonite is a waterproofing material made up of a non-fabric material and a porous fabric with an insert of natural bentonite sodium mechanically assembled using a patented needle punching system, which provides the product with an unbeatable self-confining quality and extremely elevated waterproofing performance.

The product contains a special type of Bentonite Sodium produced through a patented system, which consists of creating homogeneous encapsulation of the Bentonite Sodium through a special process, preventing contact with normal aggressive elements contained in underground waters. This process united with an exceptional self-confinement quality maintains the waterproofing power constant.

Where it can be used

Protection and waterproofing from continuous underground waters, wavering or leaning underground concrete structures, in combination with concrete pouring (foundation walls and baffle plates, poles, soldier pile walls, existing foundations or caisson decks), in buildings such as garages, cellars, warehouses, walk-in safes, taverns, depositories, automobile silos, as well as underpasses and tunnels.

Advantages

  • Unbeatable self-confinement and extremely high waterproofing provided by specific and patented processes.
  • Prevents water transmigration interface phenomenons.
  • Autonomously and stably steals normal lesions caused by concrete shrinkage.
  • Mounted to the surface through simple riveting.
  • Can be punctured to permit the passage of connecting frames or iron rods.
  • Can be cut into shapes to be adapted perfectly to the shape of the structure.
  • Resistant to accidental blows and abrasions.
  • If the waterproofing material is damaged during installation, it can be simply repaired using specific Bentonite Sodium stucco.
  • Practical and easy preparation of installation surfaces, and does not require adjustment of support structures.
  • Sun, wind, rain and low temperatures do not inhibit flexibility during installation and functioning.
  • Does not undergo alterations when in contact with elements normally present in virgin underground waters.
  • In the most cases a protection covering is not necessary.
  • Waterproofing can be installed even in contact with water for a few days as long as it is not flowing water.
